Bart van den Nieuwenhof in RetailTrends Podcast

New: The RetailTrends Podcast featuring Bart Van Den Nieuwenhof, CEO of nexeye. In an engaging conversation with Marcel ten Holte (RetailTrends), Bart shares insights about his career, from his student days to his current position.

Bart van den Nieuwenhof (52) started his retail career in 1996 as a trainee at C&A. After C&A and then UPC, he joined V&D in 2006. There, Van den Nieuwenhof became responsible for the conversion to the new shop-in-shop concept within the department stores. Together with Philip Mountford, Van den Nieuwenhof started working at Hunkemöller in 2009. After this successful repositioning, he became ultimately responsible for La Place in 2012.

In 2018, Bart van den Nieuwenhof started as CEO of the Hans Anders Retail Group. In the years that followed, he ensured international growth of the group among others through the purchase of eyes + more. Besides that, he managed to transform the group and its labels into a succesful value-for-money formula.

In the RetailTrends Podcast Bart provides his perspective on the transformation of Hans Anders, eyes + more and and Direkt Optik AB. Since 2022, the group name has been renamed nexeye. Besides that he explains why, with an eye on the future, nexeye is making in the coming years significant investments in digitalization and sustainability.
